is common in nulliparous women or those with multiple gestations.

Patho-physiology • Inflammatory disorder occurs when overstretching of the skin causes underlying connective tissue damage, which exposes dermal antigens and causes an inflammatory response.
Clinical features • Pruritic, erythematous plaques or papular rash that is limited in to the abdominal striae it also may spread centrifugally
• Spares periumbilical region
• Spares face, palms & soles
• Develops in third trimester or immediately postpartum.
Diagnosis • Clinical
Prognosis • No adverse pregnancy outcomes hence tx goals is symptomatic only
• Resolves immediately postpartum
Treatment • Topical corticosteroids
• Antihistamines
